Media Office Chair - Black Review

Long-story short: for the price, this is a great knock-off of a classic chair. It is sturdy and comfortable. It is by no means the quality or pedigree of the Eames original, but frankly for the money I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Longer story: the chair arrived missing a washer for the base and the arm was scratched; the seller immediately contacted the manufacturer, who shipped replacement parts quickly. While this was an unpleasant occurrence, both seller and manufacturer dealt with the problem professionally and promptly.

Task Office Chair in Burgundy - BT-084-BY-GG Review

This is a very nice chair. It did need some assembly from the compactly packed shipping box. After the first attempt, I couldn't get it to tilt back. After some searching, I found that the tilt feature locks if the handle to raise and lower the seat is pushed in. After pulling it out everything worked like a charm.

Leatherette Office Chair - Lider Office Chair - Zuo Modern - 205201 Review

If you are looking for Herman Miller Eames Aluminum Group chairs...but aren't crazy enough to spend $1000-$1500 per chair...these chairs provide a very affordable alternative.

Now this should be obvious but I'll point it out anyways... these are KNOCK-OFFS/REPLICAS. Your expectations of these chairs should be the same as what you would expect from a fake $25 Coach purse.

With that said... these chairs look very very good. Everything was packed surprisingly secure and carefully. We purchased 8 of these for our conference room and have gotten numerous compliments on how great they look. The chairs do an excellent job of capturing the major style components of the real Herman Miller Aluminum Group chairs. But be warned... these are not exact replicas, so I wouldn't pass them off as real Herman Miller chairs unless you want to look like a chump.

We have only had these chairs for a couple weeks so I can't really comment on the longevity/reliability of these chairs. But judging by how they look and function right now I would have to give them solid marks for quality. The other reviewer here who gave 1 star seems to have had some problems, but it also sounds like the customer service is actually pretty good and responsive if it sent him several equipment replacements and an entire chair replacement free of charge. That is some pretty damn good customer service, especially for a company making replica chairs.

We bought these for our conference room, so they aren't subject to the same constant usage a normal office chair would have. While the quality on these are solid, I wouldn't be surprised if they started having problems after a couple years of heavy use. If you are just looking for an everyday chair for your home/office, you may want to look at other options.

Overall I am very satisfied with this chair. It is exactly what I expected to be.

Big and Tall Office Chair - Big and Tall Deluxe Executive Chair - Office Star - 7105 Review

Be aware that when they say tall, they mean tall. This chair is not really suitable for anyone shorter than around 6'1", and would probably work best for those over 6'3".I am 6'1", and my legs almost dangle off the edge at its lowest.Also, the padding is a bit stiff and not quite as generous nor as comfortable as advertised. It also has a fairly limited tilt, and the back is not adjustable.

This chair does have a lot of seating space, however, with adjustable arms that can be widened and raised to accommodate larger persons, and it is every bit as heavy duty as advertised.

It is exactly like the picture and replaces one without the back that was purchased in l965.That one finally became to unstable last year after many moves and uses.I tried to replace it with a plastic step and my wife pitched a fit.She is short and likes the stability offered by the pull out steps.Her ONLY complain is that it isn't brown like the old one but she can live with that.

This is a handsome chair that is also quite comfortable. The price is astoundingly low. The leather (yes, leather) is black pebble grain. The photo makes it look smoother and shinier than the actual chair. The assembly takes a bit of wrestling. Do not follow the order of assembly in the instructions. First get the back inserted in the arms, then slide in the seat and steel tube supports. Significant pressure is required to get the screw holes to line up. An assistant may be helpful.

This thing is harder than sitting on a wooden bench. There is NO give at all to the mesh, like ergonomic mesh chairs have. It is a pain to put together (cheap construction, bolt holes do not line up correctly). Overall, even at 60% off, it is still way over priced. My $30 office chair from walmart is more comfortable and supporting than this. Gave it to my husband who still has to use pillows to even sit in it.

Black Drafting Chair With 360 Footrest & Swivel And Arm Rest Review

The chair went together fairly well, and is mostly comfortable to sit in. But it feels like it is not level. I am not able to see anything mechanically wrong with it, but it doesn't feel stable. The assembly instructions could have been better. I use it every day with no problems.

Update: After about a year and a half of use, the welds on the chair broke, dumping me on the floor. I no longer recommend this chair.

Executive Black Leather Office Chair w/Gas Lift & Lumbar Support Review

In short, the chair arrived in a timely fashion. It wasn't too hard to assemble at all.

On the whole, it has a solid feel and is comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time for me. I'd caution that the arm rails are a bit high and unadjustable, so if this has to fit under a desk, check the measurements.

I find it very irritating when the product is falsely advertised in the product description. The product description clearly states, "Black Leather Office Chair. Black Powder Coat Finished Steel Loop Arms with Padded Leather Arm Rests. Heavy Duty Steel Base with Black Powder Coat Finish"

1.The chair is not upholstered in leather but instead they used some sort of naugahyde vinyl.

2.The arm rests are not steel.They are some type of hard plastic finished with metallic paint.

3.The base is not made from "heavy duty steel".It is obviously made from the same plastic that the arm rest are made from and painted with the same metallic paint.

Amazon.com really has poor standards as far as verifying there product descriptions.I actually believe that they are intentionally being misleading with their brief or blatantly false product descriptions.What good is a company if you're going to be taken advantage of by false advertising.

Brown Leather High Back Executive Swivel Office Chair [UE-CS-603E-B02-BRN-GG] Review

I considered many office chairs before deciding on this one. It is very handsome, somewhat darker brown than the picture. The leather is good quality. It is comfortable and firm. It does have built-in lumbar support as described, but without a way to adjust that it is a question of how the person sitting fits the space. The back is not quite as high as I expected; my head just fits on the headrest (I am 5'10" tall).

It was not hard to put together; it took about a half-hour mostly because the directions consisted entirely of pictures. The only tool needed, an Allen wrench, was included. It seems well constructed and I expect it will hold up well.I will add comments in six months (summer, 2010) to tell how it holds up. I have had it two weeks and I am impressed.

The only change I would have made in my shopping would have been to try out other office chairs before buying this--but I probably would have purchased it in the end. There's no way to judge comfort in a chair in on-line shopping. I found an identical chair at another dealer on line, but even though it was a little lower price there I chose to buy this from Amazon because of many good experiences purchasing from Amazon. I am very pleased with the chair.
